"Heritage Properties, a locally-owned and operated real estate investment, development, and management team, today announced that it has been selected by the City of Lowell to purchase and redevelop the 41 Hurd Street property in downtown Lowell, following the company’s bid during a public Request for Proposals (“RFP”) process.
The property at 41 Hurd Street is located within Lowell’s downtown historic district, at the intersection of Hurd, George, and William Streets, and comprises approximately 57,000+ square feet. It is the former home of the Lowell District Court (known as the “Courthouse”), which opened in 1925 and closed in 2020. It was previously owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts."
