We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of The Emery – our newest multifamily community in downtown Lowell. Last week, we hosted a grand opening celebration and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by city officials and project partners, marking the official opening of the building and the move-in of its first residents.

The Emery offers downtown Lowell 37 brand-new residences – inspired by the property's historic surroundings – with a curated mix of studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms spread across the building's five floors. Select first-floor residences offer direct entries for seamless urban living, with all residences boasting open-concept floorplans, stainless steel appliances, sophisticated finishes, and thoughtful built-ins. Onsite amenities at The Emery include a spacious lobby, modern community room, and a secure mail & package room.

"We're thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of The Emery here today," said Jeff Bush, President of Heritage Properties. "This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and expertise of our team and project partners, and we're excited to welcome The Emery’s first residents home this week. We can't wait to see this community grow in the months ahead."

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by city officials, including Mayor, Erik R. Gitschier, City Manager, Thomas A. Golden, and At-Large City Councilor, Vesna Nuon.

The Emery was constructed by Heritage Properties’ in-house construction division, led by the team’s VP Business Development, Scott March, in just under a year and was developed in collaboration with a team of local partners, including Gavin & Sullivan Architects, Inc., &Design Studio, and Hancock Associates.

Located at 230 Middlesex Street in downtown Lowell, The Emery sits at the corner of Middlesex and Pearl streets in Lowell's JAM (Jackson/Appleton/Middlesex) urban renewal neighborhood zone. The Emery represents the latest housing development in this district, transforming a formerly vacant lot into a vibrant new residential community. The project was supported in part by tax credits from the Housing Development Incentive Program (HDIP), which helps gateway cities develop housing, increase residential growth, expand housing stock diversity, and promote neighborhood stabilization.

The Emery is now open and welcoming residents. To view current availability at The Emery, please visit www.emerylowell.com. To learn more about The Emery, visit the community’s social media channels on Instagram and Facebook.
