"Just over a year after the project broke ground, officials celebrated the completion of a 37-unit housing project on Middlesex Street Wednesday morning as the city continues to add to its housing stock.

The Emery now stands completed at the corner of Middlesex and Pearl streets as part of the city’s Jackson, Appleton Middlesex plan to revitalize that area of downtown Lowell, which was first adopted in early 2000. It was developed by Heritage Properties, a locally owned and operated real estate investment, development and management company run by its President Jeff Bush. It has been owned by the family in Lowell for 48 years going back to Bush’s grandfather."
