At Heritage Properties, “putting people first” isn’t just a motto; it’s a guiding principle that shapes how we support the communities in which we work and live. This holiday season, Heritage Properties is honored to extend this commitment by inviting both residents and staff to help brighten the lives of families in need. Through food and toy drives, we’re working to uplift and give back to the communities that make our neighborhoods feel like home.
This year, our communities at Grant Mill (299 Carpenter St in Providence, RI) and The Belmore (250 Smithfield Rd., North Providence, RI) are hosting a Toys for Tots drive. Running through November and December, residents and visitors are invited to drop off new toys in our lobbies at the dedicated drop-off box. If you’re not located in Providence but still would like to participate, online donations are always accepted through the Toys for Tots Virtual Toy Box, which you can access here.
In addition to the toy drive, Grant Mill and The Belmore residents and staff are welcome to participate in ongoing food drives, hosted at each property, throughout the holiday season. A handful of our other residential communities have also hosted food donation boxes with donations going to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, a crucial resource for many. With food insecurity affecting local families, residents can help to spread cheer by donating canned goods and non-perishable items.
This season, we are reminded of how important it is to show up for each other, to care for one another, and to extend support wherever and whenever we can. By creating opportunities to give back, we hope to foster an ongoing sense of connection among neighbors that strengthens the bonds that make our properties feel like home.
To our residents, thank you for being part of the call to put people first this holiday season! Through small acts of kindness, we can make a big difference. We wish you a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, compassion, and connection.
