Celebrating a Year of Progress at Heritage Properties

As we move through the first month of 2026, we’re looking back on all the moments that made 2025 a big one for our team at HP. We accomplished major milestones for development projects, welcomed new team members and celebrated longstanding accomplishments, and carried on our mission of putting people first.
2025 marked significant progress for The Emery, our upcoming multifamily community in downtown Lowell’s JAM district. The project was awarded HDIP funding in June, followed by a groundbreaking event in September that brought together project partners and city officials to officially announce the start of construction. With development underway, The Emery’s website (www.emerylowell.com) and social channels also launched. We can’t wait to share more details with you as this project plans its opening for later this year.
Within the community, Heritage Properties participated in the Greater Lowell Stronger Together Summit in April which hosts local leaders, developers, and community stakeholders for discussion during the 2025 Greater Lowell Economic Summit. The team also connected with future industry professionals at the UMass Lowell Spring Career Fair, meeting with students and sharing info about a potential future career in property management. Thank you to all who stopped by our booth and said hello!
We also continued to contribute to broader conversations throughout the year. HP President, Jeff Bush, was invited to share insights on renter expectations and market dynamics through appearances on the Management Diaries podcast and The Lease-Up by Multi-Housing News. And, through our own channels, we introduced Voices of Heritage, a new Q+A style series created to spotlight team members and their career paths through in-depth conversations. As we made strides on projects and community initiatives, we also took a look inwards at our core values. Following a senior leadership workshop held in the spring, our team worked to refresh and solidify our main points of focus and how we operate in the day-to-day. Known as the ABCs of Heritage Properties, these new core values inform our daily decisions, actions, and long-term strategy. Introduced company-wide over the summer, our ABCs serve as a foundation for how we shape our operations and show up for our community every day.
Last but certainly not least, 2025 was a year of growth and achievement for our own team. We welcomed new team members while celebrating milestone anniversaries, including Mindy’s 22nd year, Gretchen’s 18th year, Chris’ 16th year, Greg’s 13th year, and Danielle and John’s 8th year, among others. Thank you, all, for your continued commitment to this team, our communities, and the people we put first every day.
