As Heritage Properties looks ahead to the rest of 2024, we want to take a moment to reflect on 2023. It was a year of major milestones and team accomplishments, setting the stage for an even more promising year ahead!
2023 marked a significant chapter in our story as we celebrated our 45th anniversary. Established in 1978, Heritage Properties has since grown from a two-person partnership into a robust 30+ person team that oversees a portfolio of 900+ apartment homes across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. To showcase this milestone, we launched a refreshed brand identity and redesigned our website to reflect our team’s history and decades of expertise. Our new company website and dedicated apartment search site support our team, our residents, and our partners as we continue a legacy of thoughtful and dedicated service within each community we create, manage, and preserve.
In addition to our professional achievements, 2023 was also a year of building team connections and ongoing community involvement! We enjoyed various team events, including a fun outing at Top Golf, a festive winter party, and employee dinners and lunches to celebrate team members' accomplishments and anniversaries – including the recognition of Samantha Gelinas as our Employee of the Year. Our team spirit extended beyond the office walls, as shown by our summer outing in Lowell. We toured historic buildings – including the Boott Mills in Lowell – and enjoyed a scenic canal tour by boat. These activities not only provided a fun and educational experience but also deepened our appreciation for the rich history of our local communities. In addition, this year marked our sponsorship of the UMass Lowell Hockey team, with members of our team attending a handful of games this season! These initiatives and gatherings not only strengthened our team’s connections but also highlighted our commitment to recognizing and appreciating our employees' hard work and dedication.
Building on this spirit, our team and residents lived up to our shared commitment to putting people first. Coming together to support our local communities in practical and meaningful ways, our Heritage team organized donation drives across our portfolio during the holiday season, from setting up food donation boxes to partnering with Toys for Tots and local coat drives to bring some joy during the holidays. Thank you to our team and residents for helping us positively impact our local communities and neighbors.
We are filled with gratitude for the achievements and memories made throughout 2023, and we look forward to what the rest of 2024 has in store.
